With the busy working schedule that most modern day families have, the hours available to spend with our children are very precious. Therefore, weekends and school holidays become moments to share together, relaxing & having fun.
On holiday with the children, even short breaks with new places, temporary change of scenery, different food, new faces.. this is just some of the positive feedback for our children. Long gone are the days when we just had one holiday a year,
these days we prefer various short breaks throughout the year, and it’s on these special occasions that everything must be perfect.
Children can gain great opportunities from new and interesting surroundings, whilst the parents get a chance to unwind from the stress. Nevertheless on holiday with one or more children can create slight apprehension for the parents,
long journeys can become boring and tiresome for the little ones. Not to mention the inconvenience caused by the hotel, should they not be adequately organised, each small request can become a big problem……asking the Chef to prepare vegetable puree, asking
for a kettle in the room to heat up a baby bottle, giving the baby a bath when there is only a shower in the room. These are just a few small things which can become big problems causing the parents to go on holiday less frequently than they would like to.

Pregnant Mums
For pregnant mums that wish to have a break and dedicate some free time to enjoy their pregnancy the ideal places are: long walks in the country with fresh and healthy air, mild weather not too hot or too cold. The ideal holiday would be in the Mountains in the summer, the Tuscan countryside, or spring and autumn in Sicily.

If they really want to enjoy their holidays it is essential that where they are staying can offer them all the services that the whole family need. Families with children in this age group require properties which can be flexible in all departments, preferably with large outdoor open spaces, or an internal play area. Sea, Mountain, or Countryside are the areas most suited for this age group.
6 – 11
The holiday can also be perceived as a cultural visit, the children are keen and able to actively take part and are curious to link up experiences with what they are learning at school. Along with the traditional holiday by the sea or in the mountains, we can also visit Historical and Art Cities, which have on offer very interesting itineries for children, such as, the kids museum in Florence. An ideal place for some free fun time would be the large Nature Reserve, or Fun Parks mainly for children but also great fun for the adults.
12 – 16
Teenagers start to have different requirements, they like to feel more independent and at this age even the parents need to have some free time. Very suitable are Holiday Villages with animation and organised groups, letting the teenagers have fun while the parents relax. They can make friends, practice sports and have new experiences. Parents can enjoy their hobbies, read or relax without feeling guilty, knowing that their children are in good hands.
